Neighborhood Watch is the cornerstone of the El Cerrito Crime Prevention Committee's programs. We encourage community residents to join with their neighbors and build a safer place to live, work and play by educating them to help prevent crime. Our goal is for neighbors to watch out for one another. The Committee supplies information to these neighborhood groups and assists them in various crime prevention techniques. To find out about Neighborhood Watch in your area, please contact the Committee.

One of the fastest growing areas of crime today is ID theft. The Committee has developed an outstanding program for educating El Cerrito residents on reducing their chances of becoming victims. Seminars are conducted, at no charge, by the Committee several times each year. Learn about credit card theft and fraud, phone card theft, check fraud from fraud detectives and other experts.
