Free Child Safety Seat Inspections
The El Cerrito Police Department offers free child safety seat inspections for El Cerrito residents only. Read more about how you can Schedule a Child Safety Seat Inspection
Fingerprinting Service
People who must be fingerprinted for various licenses and certifications can come to the Police Department and be electronically printed through the Live Scan system. Services are available with or without an appointment, Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM. If you would like to make an appointment, you may do so by calling (510) 215-4437.
Live Scan services are also available on Saturdays but an appointment is required.
The fee for fingerprinting is $43.00. This does not include any fees that might be charged by the Department of Justice, which depend on the type of applicant.

The El Cerrito Police Department is actively seeking Reserve Peace Officers to be members of our volunteer/community service law enforcement unit.

You can now make your traffic court payments online. Payments may be made by credit card at

(or go to www.cc-courts.org and click on
"PAY YOUR TRAFFIC TICKET ONLINE").
This service of the Contra Costa Superior Court is available daily (except between 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for maintenance). There is a $10 fee applied to each payment.
